Introduction
After focusing my GT Extended Learning Seminar presentation on incarceration in the United States last year, I have continued my interest on this topic as well as how the system affects people in our country. I hope to gain more knowledge about how our criminal justice system works and how we can work to erase the many flaws within it. I am very interested in the system and hope to further my learning this semester as well as when I go to college. This course will benefit me in the future because I hope to carry this knowledge to similarly related college courses.
